Step 1
Initially, you need to defrost the mussels, rinse and put in a preheated pan with a little vegetable oil. Now make a small fire and fry the mussels, stirring constantly and evaporating the water, for 3-4 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel the garlic, chop it. Wash the tomatoes, cut them in half and grate them on a fine grater. Throw out the remaining skin of the tomatoes, you will not need it in the future.
Step 3
Fry the mussels in a pan, add garlic, grated tomato, also basil and fry for a couple of minutes.
Step 4
Now you can add cream, salt, pepper, add any spices depending on your culinary preferences. Simmer the mussels over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until thickened in cream. Do not close the pan with a lid. After the specified time, the mussels in a creamy sauce are completely ready, they can be served.
Step 5
To taste, mussels go well with any pasta, spaghetti or rice. You can also sprinkle the mussels in a creamy sauce on top with grated hard cheese.
