Fried potatoes will be called French fries. It is golden crunchy and smells delicious. Ideal both as a side dish and as a separate dish with any sauce. To prepare it, you need to know just a few simple rules.

Step 1
Prepare potatoes. Wash, peel, cut into strips. Better if there is a special knife. Then the cubes will turn out to be the same and will be fried evenly. Place the resulting potatoes on a towel or paper towels to absorb excess liquid. The potatoes should be as dry as possible. Excess moisture can spoil the taste of the final dish. The fries may not crunch.
Step 2
Prepare a deep fryer, pour vegetable oil into it. There is one secret here. Mix different brands of oil. As a result of this procedure, the oil will not foam, and there will be no oily foam left on the potato pieces.
Step 3
Preheat deep fat to a temperature of 160-180 degrees. You can determine how hot the oil is by throwing a piece of potato into it. The oil should boil around the potatoes, but not too much.
Step 4
Place the sliced potatoes in a sieve to fry. Don't put too much in one go. So that the potatoes do not stick together. Better to fry in portions.
Step 5
Deep-fry for 6-8 minutes. The time depends on which type of potato you are using. Winter imported varieties are much tougher than native potatoes. The fries are done when they turn golden.
Step 6
Use store-bought fries. The advantage of this product is that it has already been cut into neat strips, so you can save time on preliminary preparations. You do not need to defrost potatoes. Deep-fry in small portions for 6-8 minutes.
Step 7
Spoon the finished crispy fries onto paper towels to absorb excess fat. Salt with fine salt.
