Cottage cheese balls with strawberries can be served as a full meal, they turn out to be quite satisfying, although they are a dessert. As a dessert, one such cottage cheese will be quite enough.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 500 g of cottage cheese;
- - 300 g flour;
- - 60 g soft butter;
- - 1 egg;
- - 1 teaspoon lemon zest;
- - a pinch of salt.
- For filling:
- - 500 g of strawberries;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice, sugar;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of powdered sugar.
- For breading:
- - 100 g bread crumbs;
- - 80 g of butter;
- - 4 teaspoons of powdered sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Beat softened butter with a mixer, beat in an egg, add grated zest, salt. Add flour with cottage cheese, stir everything thoroughly until smooth. Leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Step 2
Rinse strawberries, peel. Choose 16 medium-sized berries, dip in sugar. Cut the rest of the berries into 4 parts, make mashed potatoes from them. Combine the strawberry puree, icing sugar and lemon juice.
Step 3
Roll the curd dough into a 5 cm thick sausage, cut into 16 pieces, knead the dough pieces with the palm of your hand, put a candied whole strawberry in the middle, cover with the dough, make a ball. Boil the balls in boiling water - 10 minutes will be enough.
Step 4
Melt the butter in a skillet. Mix the breadcrumbs with powdered sugar, fry until golden brown. Remove the curd balls with a slotted spoon, roll in caramelized bread crumbs. Serve the curd balls with the strawberry puree sauce.
