Making a soccer ball cake requires a hemispherical shape. A heat-resistant tempered glass pan is perfect for baking dough.

Soccer Ball Cake Recipe

Beat soft butter with granulated sugar until a light yellow mass is obtained. Continuing to beat, add chicken eggs one by one to the mass. Wheat flour is sieved twice through a fine sieve and added to the egg-oil mixture. Kneading the dough, add chopped almonds and milk to the ingredients.

The finished dough should have a uniform consistency. The hemispherical shape is greased with butter or lined with a sheet of parchment. The dough is laid out in a mold, which must be shaken vigorously several times. The surface of the dough is leveled and a small depression is made in the central part.

Syrup should be boiled from water and sugar and almond flour should be added to it. The mass is heated for 3-4 minutes, not forgetting to stir. The cooled mass is crushed with an immersion blender. 1/3 of the mass is transferred to another container. Cocoa is added to it. Prepared white and chocolate marzipan is wrapped in plastic wrap.

Now you can start preparing the cream. Cocoa is stirred in 2 tbsp. l. boiling water. Beat soft butter, gradually adding powdered sugar and cocoa. The cooled dough is removed from the mold and cut into 3 horizontal layers. The layers are coated with cream and combined. You can also place fresh fruit, such as peach, between the layers.

The remaining cream is applied to the top of the sphere. White and chocolate marzipan are rolled out with a rolling pin and hexagons are cut out of them, which are placed on the surface of the cake. To prevent marzipan from drying out, cover the soccer ball cake with a damp cloth before serving.
