Berlin-style liver is very simple to prepare; fried apples and onions give it a special taste. According to this recipe, you can cook not only veal liver, but also pork or chicken.
It is necessary
- - 700 g of veal liver;
- - 4 onions;
- - 2 sweet and sour apples;
- - 50 g butter;
- - 5 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of flour;
- - 4 sprigs of parsley;
- - salt, ground pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the onions, cut them into thin slices. Peel the apples too, remove the core, cut into small cubes - no more than 1 centimeter.
Step 2
Fry the onion in 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil until lightly browned, put it on a plate. Fry the apples in half the butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Place half of the apples on top of the onion and place the remaining apples on another plate.
Step 3
Peel the veal liver from films, cut into large pieces. Bread the liver in flour. Fry in a mixture of vegetable and butter for 2-4 minutes on both sides. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Put the finished liver on top of the onion and apples, sprinkle with the remaining fried apples on top, garnish with fresh parsley.
Step 5
Berlin-style veal liver tastes best hot right after cooking. An ideal side dish for her is mashed potatoes or peas. You can also serve any light vegetable salad along with the liver.
