Potato and cheese sticks are an excellent breakfast, a delicious appetizer or side dish for the main course. They can be served both hot and cold. For those who still do not know how to cook potato sticks with cheese, this recipe will certainly come in handy.
It is necessary
- - 8 medium sized potatoes;
- - 100 g of hard cheese;
- - 150 g bread crumbs;
- - 2 tbsp. l. corn flour;
- - 2 eggs;
- - vegetable oil;
- - salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the potatoes in their skins, cool, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Add the egg and salt to the potato mass, mix. Add flour and knead the potato dough.
Step 2
Whisk the egg and salt in a separate bowl. Cut the cheese into even cubes. Pour the breadcrumbs into a separate bowl.
Step 3
Make a small tortilla of potato dough, place a block of cheese in the center and shape the tortilla into a stick. To make the potato sticks with cheese filling more neat and even, you can use a wide-bladed knife to press the potato dough on all four sides.
Step 4
Dip a potato stick in the egg mixture, then roll in breadcrumbs. To make the crust thicker and more ruddy, repeat this procedure 2 times. Form and bread all potato sticks in the same way.
Step 5
Fry potato sticks in vegetable oil on all 4 sides and place them on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
Step 6
Serve potato sticks with hot sauce or fresh herbs. They are good both hot and cold.
