Chicken hearts are a nutritious by-product from which you can prepare various dishes. The hearts contain B vitamins, A and PP vitamins, as well as a large amount of minerals and proteins.
Heart skewers
Delicious kebabs are obtained from chicken offal, to cook them, take the following ingredients:
- 1 kg of hearts;
- 300 g of bell pepper;
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil;
- 200 g of soy sauce;
- 2 tbsp. honey;
- ground pepper to taste.
Wash the hearts, remove the blood clots and cover them with a mixture of soy sauce and honey, pepper to taste and leave to marinate for 3 hours. Then take a wooden skewer and string a piece of bell pepper on it, followed by a chicken heart. Thus, cook the rest of the kebabs and fry them in a pan for 10-15 minutes, constantly turning over and pouring the rest of the honey mixture. Put the prepared kebabs on a flat plate, garnish with herbs and serve.
Chicken heart pilaf
Chicken hearts go well with rice, so the pilaf from them is delicious. To prepare this dish, you will need the following components:
- 200 g of rice;
- 250 g of chicken hearts;
- 1 large onion;
- 1 large carrot;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil;
- 1 tbsp. water;
- salt to taste;
- pepper to taste;
- greens.
Rinse the rice until clear water, wash the hearts and cut them lengthwise into two parts. Chop the onions into thin strips, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan with a thick bottom or cauldron, when it warms up well, fry the hearts on it, then put a layer of onions, and carrots on top of it. After 10 minutes, transfer the rice to the cauldron, smooth it, sprinkle with salt and pepper, stick the garlic cloves into it and gently fill it with water. Place the pilaf over low heat until the rice is cooked. Next, turn it over onto the tray so that the chicken hearts are at the top, and decorate with herbs.
