Chicken hearts are not very popular with housewives. Meanwhile, they are very rich in protein, but practically do not contain fat, which means they are an ideal meat substitute for a diet or a healthy diet. In addition, they are also very tasty. Don't believe me? Prepare a dish of chicken hearts and you will understand everything yourself.
Stewed chicken hearts
Ingredients:
- 800 g of chicken hearts;
- 2 onions;
- 1/3 tsp ground black pepper;
- 1/2 tsp salt;
- vegetable oil.
Peel the onions, cut into half rings and sauté in vegetable oil until soft over medium heat. Rinse out blood clots from chicken hearts and cut off excess fat. Transfer them to a skillet and fry for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula. Reduce heat to low, cover with lid and simmer chicken hearts for 20-25 minutes. Season them with salt, increase the temperature and brown the dish a little.
Chicken heart kebabs
Ingredients:
- 800 g of chicken hearts;
- 600 g of pineapple pulp;
- 50 ml of olive oil;
- 25 ml of balsamic vinegar;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 1/4 tsp oregano;
- salt.
Divide the fruit pulp into two equal parts, chop one, and cut the other into triangular slices. Combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, crushed garlic, oregano, and pineapple puree. Rub the chicken hearts with salt and marinate in the prepared mixture for 20 minutes. String them on skewers or wooden skewers, alternating with pineapple pieces. Grill kebabs or bake in the oven.
Chicken heart pate
Ingredients:
- 500 g of chicken hearts;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 onion;
- 100 g of butter;
- 1/3 tsp each allspice and dried ginger;
- salt.
Free the onion from the husk and chop finely, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Melt 40 g butter and sauté the vegetables. Add hearts, pepper, ginger, salt to taste and simmer for 15 minutes at medium temperature. Cool the roast and grind in a blender along with the remaining butter. Put the pate in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Chicken Hearts Snack Salad
Ingredients:
- 500 g of chicken hearts;
- 4 chicken eggs;
- 2 tomatoes;
- 30 g green onions;
- 20 g of dill;
- 2 tbsp. mayonnaise and sour cream;
- salt.
Boil the chicken offal until tender, fold in a colander and cut into strips. Hard boil the eggs and peel off the shells. Cut the tomatoes into slices, green onions - 3-4 cm tubes, eggs - in semicircles, finely chop the dill. Mix everything in a nice salad bowl, season with mayonnaise and sour cream and salt, if necessary.
Warm salad with chicken hearts
Ingredients:
- 200 g of chicken hearts;
- 250 g of chopped green beans, can be frozen;
- 2 bell peppers;
- 6 Iceberg lettuce leaves;
- 1/2 tsp curry;
- olive oil;
For the sauce:
- half an orange;
- 50 ml of soy sauce;
- 1 tsp honey.
Squeeze orange juice, stir with honey and soy sauce and soak hearts in this marinade for 20 minutes. Peel the bell peppers and cut into strips. Fry the beans in olive oil for 4-5 minutes. Cook the peppers in the same way, but in 2-3 minutes. Pour more oil into the pan and fry the chicken hearts for 5-7 minutes, at the end of cooking sprinkle them with curry and salt. Tear the "Iceberg" with your hands and cover the flat dish. Stir in the hot salad ingredients and place over the salad leaves.
