Step by step cooking process

You will need:

  • butter - 100 g;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml;
  • milk - 1, 5 glasses;
  • lemon zest;
  • fresh yeast - 50 g;
  • egg - 2 pcs.;
  • vanilla sugar - 2 tsp;
  • sugar - 1 glass;
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.

Filling:

  • butter - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • milk - 160 ml;
  • poppy - 320 g;
  • vanilla sugar - 2 tsp;
  • regular sugar - 210 g;
  • raisins - 100 g.

Cooking process step by step

Start cooking the roll with the filling. Pour water over the raisins and leave to swell, then drain and dry the raisins. Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds and leave for 15 minutes. Pour the liquid through a sieve. Place the poppy seeds in a saucepan and cover with milk.

Add butter and sugar to the poppy seeds, put on fire and boil the mixture for half an hour. It may take a little more time, the milk should completely evaporate during the cooking process. Wait for the poppy to cool completely and twist it in a meat grinder.

Heat the milk for the dough and add the yeast to it. Add a spoonful of sugar and 5 tablespoons of flour from the total volume, mix the mass with a whisk. Leave her to come up for an hour. Put the eggs in a bowl, add salt, sugar and vanilla sugar, mash everything well.

After the dough has risen several times, add the egg mixture into it and stir. Melt in a water bath and refrigerate the butter. Pour it into the dough and then trim the zest from the lemon, stir everything. Pour all the flour into the mass in parts and knead the dough. Cover it with a bag and set it aside for an hour and a half to two hours.

Divide the risen dough in two and roll it into a layer. Combine the poppy seeds and raisins and halve the filling. Place the filling on two rolled layers and roll into two rolls. Place them seam side down on a greased baking sheet.

You will need:
