Lula kebab not only looks delicious, but will delight you and your loved ones during the fast. You will need (based on 8-10 servings):

- 1-1.5 kg of potatoes;

- 5 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;

- turmeric (to taste);

- salt, black pepper (to taste);

- greens (dill, parsley, onion) - optional;

- skewers, wooden sticks;

- meat grinder.

Rinse the potatoes thoroughly and boil in their skins in salted water, then leave to cool for a while. Due to the fact that you boil the potatoes in their skins, starch will remain in the tubers, and the minced meat will become sticky, which contributes to the fact that the potato sausages will stick well on sticks and will not fall apart. Peel the potato skins and mince the potatoes. Keep in mind that the potatoes do not need to be chopped to a puree consistency. You can also just grind the potatoes coarsely.

Put the potato mass in a deep bowl, add vegetable oil and turmeric to it, mix. Adding this oriental spice will give the minced potato a yellowish hue. Remember to season with salt and pepper to your liking. Now leave the minced meat for 20-30 minutes so that it can brew.

Moisten your hands with water and form small sausages from the potato mass, and then string them on special wooden sticks or skewers. Put the potato kebab on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil and send to the oven preheated to a temperature of 160 ° C. Bake for 20-30 minutes until crusty. You can also fry the kebab on the grill until cooked.

Sprinkle the finished potato kebab with finely chopped herbs and serve hot with homemade pickles, lettuce or vegetables.

A completely different technology is used to prepare the potato kebab with bacon. You will need (for 4 servings):

- 500 g of potatoes;

- 200 g of salted lard;

- salt, black pepper (to taste);

- skewers, wooden sticks.

Rinse the potatoes well, peel and cut into thin rings. Medium potatoes are the best for this dish. Cut the salted lard into thin slices in the same way. Keep in mind that the thinner you cut the bacon, the tastier the finished dish will be.

On skewers or wooden sticks, it is necessary to string, alternating, bacon and potatoes. Do not forget to salt and pepper to taste. Put the kebab into a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil and bake at 180 ° C until tender. You can also use the grill for cooking.
