Do you want to cook a meat dish that will not leave anyone indifferent? Bake the pork knuckle in the tomato marinade. The meat will be tender and aromatic. The pork knuckle prepared according to the proposed recipe is suitable not only for a family dinner, but also for receiving guests.
It is necessary
- - pork knuckle - 1 kg;
- - tomato juice (preferably freshly squeezed) - 200 ml;
- - onion - 1 pc.;
- - garlic cloves - 2 pcs.;
- - 1 tsp. coriander seeds, mustard seeds and pepper mixtures;
- - 1, 5 tsp. salt.

Step 1
In order for the pork knuckle to have time to soak in the marinade, it should be soaked overnight. To prepare the filling, chop the onion and garlic with a blender or meat grinder.
Step 2
Put the prepared vegetable gruel in a deep bowl, cover with tomato juice, add salt, a mixture of peppers, mustard seeds and coriander. Stir the sauce well.
Step 3
Wash the pork knuckle, peel it, scrape it with a knife, dry it. Grate the prepared meat with marinade on all sides, place in a baking bag, pour in the rest of the sauce. Some housewives pierce the knuckle with a fork or knife so that the marinade gets as deep as possible into the meat.
Step 4
Send the pork knuckle to the fridge to marinate. The minimum residence time of the product in the filling is 12 hours. You can keep the meat in the sauce for a longer period.
Step 5
Send the marinated meat to bake in the oven for 1.5 hours at a temperature of 200 ° C. After an hour and a half, cut a baking bag and keep the pork knuckle in the oven for another quarter of an hour.
Step 6
The finished dish can be served hot or cold. Pork shank goes well with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.

If you bake a pork knuckle weighing more than 1 kg, then note that every 500 g of meat requires 30 minutes of additional cooking time.
