It is best not to use such sausages anymore and throw them away so as not to get poisoned. However, the shelf life of this tasty meat dish can be extended.

Increase storage times

In order to preserve sausages for as long as possible, you should always ask when they were made before buying in a store. The fresher the food, the longer it can be kept in the refrigerator. Don't buy a large pack right away if you know you won't be able to eat it right away or if you have a small number of people living in your home. It is better to buy meat dishes in smaller portions, but more often, eat them faster and not leave them spoil. As you know, bacteria multiply in meat quickly enough.

If you do not want to eat sausages in the next few days, do not break the integrity of the packaging - this will keep the product for much longer. The fact is that many manufacturers use a special gas in the packaging of sausages and meat products, which prevents the growth of bacteria. Such packaging allows the product to retain its freshness longer. But as soon as it is opened, you will have to consume sausages for several days. You can store sausages in a vacuum package, they are often placed in it already at the time of sale, or buyers do this if they have special dishes at their disposal. But even then the shelf life of sausages is not unlimited - it does not exceed two to three weeks.

Use freeze

The safest way to preserve food for a long time is to put it in the freezer. While this may not seem strange, sausages are quite successfully frozen along with fresh meat, fish and vegetables. Unlike the latter, sausages do not lose their shape and color after defrosting. After deep cooling, sausages can be stored for a long time, however, it is recommended to do this no more than 60 days so that they retain all their taste. You need to use frozen sausages in the same way as ordinary ones: throw them into boiling water and cook for a few minutes, or peel them and fry them in a pan in oil until golden brown. All operations, of course, need to be done a couple of minutes longer than for a regular product.
