Smoothie is a drink made in a blender from fresh fruits, berries or vegetables with the addition of milk, ice cream, juice or yogurt. It's not uncommon to add ice when making a smoothie. This tasty, but at the same time healthy drink is very much loved by adherents of a healthy diet. How to make a smoothie? Here are some recipes for this amazingly tasty and healthy dessert.
Banana Raspberry Smoothie
In a blender, combine a peeled banana, a glass of ripe or frozen raspberries, and half a glass of cold, low to medium fat milk. Add a teaspoon of natural honey if desired.
Citrus smoothie
Peel three pitted tangerines and one banana. Pour a glass of drinking yogurt (preferably citrus-flavored) into a bowl, add tangerines and banana. Mix thoroughly with a blender.
Smoothie "Fruit and Grain"
Place in a mixing bowl one tablespoon of cottage cheese, three to four pitted apricots or any other fruit, one tablespoon of wheat germ. Pour the contents into a glass of milk and mix everything with a blender.
Red smoothie
Place one tomato (preferably skinless) and two small celery stalks in a bowl and chop them in a blender. Pour half a glass of carrot juice with pulp, a third of a glass of beetroot juice to the contents of the bowl and blend them with a blender for fifteen seconds. Add some ice before serving.
Banana pear smoothie with celery
Peel two bananas and two pears and remove the cores from the pears. Combine peeled bananas, pears, and a small sprig of celery with a glass of water.
Breakfast smoothie
Mix in a blender seven pieces of fresh or frozen strawberries, half a banana, two tablespoons of oatmeal, one hundred and fifty milliliters of kefir. Optionally sweeten the smoothie with 1 teaspoon of honey. Garnish with any ground nuts when serving.
