You have brought home from the forest a magnificent prey - a whole bunch of honey mushrooms. They can be pickled, fried and stewed with potatoes. But, like any lamellar mushrooms, they are not very suitable for drying. Therefore, there is a great way for long-term storage - freezing.
It is necessary
-
- Fresh mushrooms;
- deep freezer (-18 ° C);
- containers or plastic bags for storing food.
Instructions
Step 1
When picking mushrooms in the forest, do not rush to cut them as quickly as possible. Honey mushrooms, as a rule, grow in whole families in mossy places near stumps (hence their name), they are often sprinkled with foliage. First of all, remove the foliage from the mushrooms and carefully trim the legs of the mushrooms with a sharp knife at such a distance so that there is no contact with the ground and the legs are clean. Examine each hat for debris and remove it. Place the mushrooms in the basket neatly, with the plates facing down. This will help you save time and effort when freezing mushrooms.
Step 2
Lay out neatly peeled, dry mushrooms at home. Therefore, it is not recommended to wash them before freezing.
Step 3
Put clean, dry sorted mushrooms in plastic containers or plastic bags and put them in the deep-freezer, evenly distributing them over it and without overlaying them. So the mushrooms will quickly freeze and not deform. After the mushrooms are completely frozen, packages or containers can be stacked compactly on top of each other.
