There are healthy fats - it's a proven fact. Only in what products should they be looked for in order to preserve and prolong health, beauty, youth?
We've been taught for a long time that the key to weight loss is a low-fat diet. And any fatty product was considered a sworn enemy. But an epiphany came, and we realized that not all fats are forced to gain weight.
There are 4 types of fats: saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, and trans fats. The latter have nothing to do with the benefit. All processed foods contain them and should be avoided.
Saturated fats are not as bad as they are found in meats, cheeses, and eggs. Coconut oil is an exception to this list due to its lauric acid content.
But monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are another matter entirely. They reduce the risk of heart disease, lower blood cholesterol levels, and even control weight. These healthy fats are found in avocados, nuts, olive and canola oils, flaxseed, and oily fish.
For morning toast, almond paste is very suitable, for muesli and yogurt - walnuts, regular baking flour should be replaced with almond flour, and cashew paste with apple slices will be the best snack during the working break. Do not be afraid to generously season the avocado salad with olive oil, and there must be fatty fish in the daily menu.
It is always worth remembering that "bad" fats provoke cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, and can even cause cancer. But healthy fats will prevent serious diseases and help maintain beauty and health.
