What is sublimation

Sublimation is a way of processing food products, in which all the water that is part of them is converted into a vaporous state. In this case, the product is first subjected to cold treatment, that is, it is frozen, and then dried in a vacuum until tender.

Absolutely different food products are freeze-dried: milk, fruits, yoghurts, vegetables, meat. As a result of such processing, food is absorbed by the body much faster. The process of absorption of beneficial trace elements begins already in the esophagus.

The freeze-dried product, due to the loss of water, significantly loses in weight and moisture. The sublimation process can be of varying degrees. The deeper the product is frozen before drying, the finer the ice crystals are formed and, therefore, the higher the quality of the product as a result of the process.

Freeze-dried products

Thanks to the described food processing process, the food retains all its taste. Its color and smell do not change, all vitamins and minerals that are part of the composition remain intact. This eliminates the need to use dyes, flavors and various flavor enhancers.

You can store freeze-dried foods without using the refrigerator. They are packed in sturdy foil packaging filled with a special gas that prevents food from spoiling.

Freeze-dried foods can be raw or ready-to-eat. Thus, solid food is processed, as well as a variety of drinks - juices, milk. Freeze-dried juice is a dry product that is diluted with warm water before use.

However, do not forget that due to the lack of water in the composition, all freeze-dried food, especially berries and fruits, causes a very strong feeling of thirst.

For the consumer, freeze-dried products at the moment remain an unusual novelty. It is quite difficult to find such food on store shelves. Most often, such products are offered by various online stores. Another disadvantage is the price of these products. At first glance, it is large enough for such a small package weight. However, do not forget that when you add water, the amount of purchased meat or potatoes will increase several times.
