Sesame paste is a popular dressing in Middle Eastern cuisine. Now we can cook it at home and add some oriental flavor to our dishes.
It is necessary
- 100 g sesame seeds;
- 3 tbsp olive oil;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- The juice of one lemon;
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Ice water - to bring to the desired consistency.
Instructions
Step 1
Sesame seeds should be ground in a coffee grinder and put in a mortar. Or use a powerful shredder.
Step 2
Grate the garlic on a fine grater, transfer to the sesame seeds, add olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Grind everything thoroughly with a pestle. If we use a chopper, then simply add the ingredients sequentially, whisking each time.
Step 3
Now add ice water to the desired consistency and transfer to a jar. Perfect with grilled vegetables, salads and pastries (for example, in tachinopitas).
