A decorated Christmas tree, tangerines, champagne and Olivier salad are the legendary set of the upcoming holiday. If you want to celebrate the New Year in such a way that the whole coming year will bring exclusively positive, it is important that only the most delicious dishes are on the table. Many housewives know how to make Olivier. But if you are just starting to learn how to cook, this method of preparing a salad can probably be useful to you.
It is necessary
- - Medium-sized potatoes - 9 pcs.;
- - Chicken eggs - 9 pcs.;
- - Beef pulp - 300 g;
- - Pickled (barrel) cucumbers of medium size - 3 pcs.;
- - Green canned peas - 1 can;
- - Salt;
- - Provencal mayonnaise or homemade mayonnaise.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the beef under running water and place in a saucepan. Pour 1.5-2 liters of cold water, place on the stove and bring to a boil. Then reduce the temperature to the minimum, cover and cook for 2 hours.
Step 2
In the meantime, while the meat is cooking, you can prepare the potatoes and eggs. Potatoes, without peeling, rinse and place in a separate bowl, fill it with water and cook until tender. We do the same with eggs - place them in a saucepan or stewpan, pour water, add some salt and cook hard-boiled for about 15 minutes.
Step 3
So that in the future the eggshell is well cleaned, immediately after boiling, cool the eggs in cold tap water. Then wait 5 minutes, and after that they can already be cleaned. We also peel the cooled potatoes.
Step 4
Once all the ingredients are prepared, you can start shaping the salad. Cut the potatoes into small cubes. Chop the eggs into similar pieces. Chop the pickles as small as possible. Chop the boiled beef. Drain all the liquid from the green peas.
Step 5
Next, take a large bowl and put all the ingredients in it - meat, potatoes, cucumbers, eggs and green peas. Season to taste. Mix thoroughly. Helpful Hint: To keep the salad fresh for a longer period, measure out the amount you plan to put in the salad bowl and season with mayonnaise before serving. Alternatively, use egg-free homemade mayonnaise. Salads seasoned with such a sauce are stored much longer.
