Pea cheese, despite such an unusual name, has a pleasant delicate taste. Great for fasting, vegetarian or lactose intolerant people. In addition, pea cheese is a great helper to keep your figure in great shape.

It is necessary

  • - 300 g of pea flakes;
  • - 500 g of water;
  • - 150 g of coconut milk;
  • - 25 g of dill;
  • - 5 g of ordinary salt;
  • - juice of half a lemon;
  • - 125 g of corn oil;
  • - 3 cloves of garlic;
  • - turmeric - for color.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a saucepan, pour all the specified amount of water into it, let it boil, then pour all the pea flakes into it, pour in portions, stirring constantly. When all the flakes are in the pan, stir them and let cook for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Then, when the mass in the pan swells a little, add coconut milk and cook until cooked.

Step 3

While the pea flakes are boiling, peel the garlic and chop it very carefully.

Step 4

Sprinkle the dill with a lot of boiling water, cut it very finely, put it in a bowl with garlic.

Step 5

When the flakes are completely swollen and turn into a thick, homogeneous mass, add corn oil to them (if you wish, you can replace it with less fatty sunflower oil), boil everything together for a while. Remove from the stove and send to cool on the windowsill.

Step 6

After the pea mass has cooled, throw salt, chopped dill and garlic into it, the freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon, mix everything in a saucepan and add just a little bit of turmeric if desired (so the cheese will acquire a pleasant yellowish tint), salt.

Step 7

Beat the resulting mass with all the seasonings with a blender, pour into a mold (preferably silicone) and refrigerate for a short period of time (it hardens very quickly).

Step 8

When the cheese has hardened, cut it into pieces of any size.
