It is necessary

    • 1 kg of raspberries
    • 1.5 kg sugar
    • jam-making utensils
    • jars for ready-made jam.

Instructions

Step 1

According to one of the recipes for making raspberry jam for 1 kg of washed and sorted berries, take 1.5 kg of sugar. Put the raspberries in a bowl, in which you will then cook the jam. Sprinkle sugar on top of the berries. In this state, leave the berries to infuse for 8-10 hours in a cold, dark place. After that, put the jam on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 2

Of course, the most useful jam is the one that has undergone the least heat treatment, since it retains more vitamins and other useful substances. In another way, such a jam is also called a five-minute jam. For its preparation, take 1 kg of raspberries. Rinse it carefully, being careful not to damage the berries. Add sugar to the raspberries for 5 hours, and then drain the resulting syrup. Boil it for 10 minutes over high heat. Then reduce heat and add raspberries to the syrup, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. After 8-10 hours, bring the jam to a boil again and boil for another 5 minutes. Pour the finished jam into jars.

Step 3

The third method of making raspberry jam is that after the raspberries are covered with sugar, after 3-4 hours you will need to drain the resulting liquid. Boil the resulting syrup for 5 minutes, and pour raspberries over them. Cook the berries over low heat until tender.
