The fish can be boiled, fried, salted and baked. In order to cook fish in the oven, you need foil, with it it will turn out tastier and juicier, and also will not burn.
Fish preparation
There are a lot of ways to cook fish in the oven, just experiment with the type of fish and side dishes. Potatoes, rice, tomatoes, eggplants and many other foods can be used as a side dish for baked fish.
Before sending the fish to the oven, it is worth preparing it. Otherwise, you risk getting dry, tasteless fish.
Prepare the fish marinade. It can be a mixture of olive oil with spices - pepper, salt, herbs - coriander, parsley, basil, saffron. You can coat the fish with sour cream, but, as practice shows, it is better to bake the fish in cream, because the cream does not collect in lumps during the baking process (which is typical for sour cream). You can pour lemon juice on the fish. Lemon is a versatile fruit that goes well with all types of fish.
An important point: at the stage of fish preparation, it is necessary to cleanse it of scales, gills and entrails, rinse it with cold water and only then start rubbing with spices both from the inside and outside.
Baking
It is best to use foil to keep the fish evenly baked and not burnt. Then the juice will not flow out of it, and the side dish along with the fish will turn out juicy. You can bake the fish whole or chopped. If you want to bake the sliced pieces, you will have to wrap each piece individually with foil. Another nuance: the foil must be greased with oil - olive, vegetable or butter - before you wrap the fish with it. The foil should follow the shape of the fish.
Do not pierce the foil so that the dish "breathes" during the baking process. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, then place the fish in it and bake the fish at a slightly lower temperature for 40 minutes. As a rule, this time is enough for the fish to bake.
Before baking the fish in foil, you can add potatoes or other vegetables to it. If you are making a side dish separately, then start doing it after you put the fish in the oven. In theory, any of the side dishes that were mentioned above are prepared no more than half an hour, so by the time the fish is baked, you will literally serve the dish to the table with the heat of the heat, and you will also have time to arrange it beautifully. To decorate the dish, you can use lemon slices or circles, as well as fresh herbs.
If you cook fish without using foil, then try placing it in a deep baking dish (having prepared it for baking in advance), cover with cream or sour cream and leave to simmer for up to 40 minutes. However, it is easier for you to check the readiness of the fish in such conditions, including "by eye".
