In order for cabbage rolls to retain their juiciness and be fragrant, in classic recipes, you first need to fry semi-finished products on both sides over high heat in hot oil. Then simmer over low heat under the lid or bake in sour cream, tomato, sour cream-tomato sauce.

If you prepare lazy cabbage rolls for a children's menu or for patients with gastrointestinal problems, it is enough to omit the frying stage, add seasonings according to tolerance. Diet cabbage rolls can be stewed not in sauce, but in broth, or steamed.

Lazy cabbage rolls are successfully combined with mashed potatoes, boiled rice, vegetable stew, stewed cabbage and other side dishes. In addition, they themselves can serve as a ready-made dinner or be served for lunch as a second course.

Lazy cabbage rolls according to the classic recipe

The traditional recipe for lazy cabbage rolls suggests that the semi-finished products are fried in a skillet and then brought to readiness in a large saucepan. First you need to rinse a glass of rice well, add two glasses of water and boil until tender.

Then peel and finely chop 150 grams of onions. Peel the same amount of carrots and grate on a medium or coarse grater. Put chopped vegetables in a cast iron pan, add 2.5 grams of table salt and your favorite dry spices.

Mix all ingredients well and sauté, stirring constantly, until the onions and carrots are tender. After that, put the boiled rice in a colander and rinse, wait for excess water to drain. Put the groats in a frying pan and mix with vegetables.

Remove hard parts from cabbage leaves, chop the rest, salt to taste. Fry in vegetable oil in a separate skillet for 10 minutes. When the cabbage has cooled to a warm state, combine it with meat and other vegetables, if necessary, add more spices to taste.

Beat the egg into the minced meat and mix it. Blind lazy cabbage rolls in the form of oblong cutlets, roll in sifted flour and fry on both sides over high heat in refined sunflower oil.

Rinse products:

  • 400 grams of cabbage;
  • a couple of carrots;
  • a couple of onions;
  • a glass of rice.

Throw the groats in a colander, remove the hard parts from the cabbage leaves, remove the husks from the onions and carrots. Chop all vegetables, mix with raw cereals and meat, salt and pepper.

Put the minced vegetables and meat in a multicooker bowl. Combine 4 tablespoons of fatty sour cream with water in a 1: 1 ratio, add a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste and salt the filling to taste.

Cover the very lazy cabbage rolls with the mixture and cook for 1 hour, setting the multicooker to the "Baking" mode. After that, hold the dish in the heating mode for another half hour and serve as a second for lunch or as a main course for dinner.

Boil half a cup of long grain rice until tender. Finely chop a pound of cabbage, then pour boiling water and let cool at room temperature. Scroll a pound of beef pulp (or a mixture of beef and pork), a peeled tomato and a peeled onion in a meat grinder.

Put spices in the minced meat to taste, 2 cloves of crushed garlic, rice, stir everything. Knock out the egg and mix the resulting mixture again, then mold the cabbage rolls. Throw the cabbage in a colander, but do not pour the infusion.

To pour in a separate bowl, combine:

  • a glass of 40% sour cream;
  • a glass of cabbage infusion;
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste;
  • half a glass of chopped cilantro, parsley, onion.

Pour vegetable oil into a deep cast-iron frying pan to make a layer of about 1 cm, heat it, then fry lazy cabbage rolls in it on both sides for 3 minutes. Cover with prepared filling, cover and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes.

Rinse and dry a pound of beef shoulder or neck with a paper towel. Remove bones, tendons, chop and rotate in a meat grinder with a couple of peeled onions. Finely chop a pound of smoked sausage, a garlic wedge without husks and 2-3 celery stalks.

Disassemble the cabbage forks, chop the soft parts of the leaves. Rinse a glass of long grain rice, but do not boil it. Separate 400 grams of pickled or salted tomatoes from the brine (marinade), remove the skin, mash the pulp of the fruit.
