The current generation has long forgotten that dumplings were once made by hand. Modern grocery stores offer a wide range of such products, but, of course, the most delicious dumplings are, by right, homemade.
To make dumplings at home, you do not need any special culinary skills - their recipe is simple and straightforward. There are several ways to make dumplings. Consider a classic recipe (it will not work if you will be frying dumplings)
Ingredients:
Dough.
Egg 1 piece, Wheat flour ½ cup, Boiled water 150 ml, · Salt to taste.
Minced meat.
Beef 200 grams, Pork 200 grams, Egg 1 piece, 2 onions, Garlic 5 cloves, · Salt and pepper to taste.
Sequencing:
The first thing to do is mince. Remove the films from the meat and rinse thoroughly in cool water. Cut it into small pieces. Peel and cut the onion into several pieces. Scroll the meat, onion and garlic through a meat grinder. Stir the resulting mass, pepper, salt and beat the egg into it. Minced meat is ready.
The next step is the dough. Pour the flour on the table in a slide, make a small depression in the middle, drive an egg into it and add salt and water. Mix the resulting mass thoroughly and let it brew for a while.
Next, divide the dough into several parts, roll the sausages out of it. Cut the sausage into cubes, roll each cube to a round shape. It is better to make dumplings by dipping your hands in flour, so the dough will stick less.
Put the prepared minced meat on the rolled pieces. Gently tape the edges of the dumplings if you wish. This should be done especially carefully, since later, when you cook the dumplings, the dough may burst.
Put the finished dumplings on a flat tray and sprinkle with flour, then put in a cool place.
Making dumplings is much easier with a dumpling machine if you have one.
Boil dumplings in lightly salted water after it boils. Cooking time usually takes no more than 15 minutes. Ready dumplings are laid out on a plate using a slotted spoon.
