For this recipe, take mini squid. They are marinated in a very spicy sauce, then grilled. Fried calamari served with fresh lime and cilantro as an appetizer.
It is necessary
- For two servings:
- - 500 g mini squid;
- - 25 g fresh ginger;
- - 4 green chili peppers;
- - 3 tbsp. spoons of tamarind paste, chili sauce, soy sauce;
- - juice of 1 lime;
- - black pepper, lime, cilantro.
Instructions
Step 1
Clean squid from films, rinse under running water.
Step 2
Combine tamarind paste, soy sauce, chili sauce, and juice from one fresh lime in a small bowl. Tamarind paste is a seasoning that is popular in Southeast Asia, it is also called tamarind pulp, it is prepared from the pods of the tamarind tree. Has a sour taste with a light fruity flavor. Can be found in the seasoning and sauce sections.
Step 3
Put the grated fresh ginger, chopped green chili and pepper to taste in the prepared sauce.
Step 4
Pour the washed mini-squid with ginger sauce, mix well, cover with cling film and put marinate in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
Step 5
Preheat a grill pan, place the marinated squid on a heated dry surface, fry on each side for 3 minutes, smearing with a fragrant marinade.
Step 6
Fried squid with hot sauce are ready, serve with fresh lime wedges and fresh cilantro or parsley.
