It is necessary

  • - 8 tbsp. baking powder;
  • - 400 g of butter;
  • - 1 tsp soda;
  • - 2 tsp salt;
  • - 2 eggs.
  • To lubricate products:
  • - 1 egg;
  • - 1 tbsp. milk.

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and line a large baking sheet with baking paper or parchment paper.

Step 2

Put 120 grams of butter in a saucepan with a thick bottom and place on the stove over high heat. Wait for the butter to melt and then begin to foam and change color to caramel. In the process, the contents of the saucepan must be constantly stirred with a wooden spatula! Once the oil has turned a rich brown hue, remove the saucepan from the stove and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 3

Combine the buttermilk with eggs using a food processor. Add cooled butter and beat again until smooth.

Step 4

Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl. Chop the remaining butter into a cube and stir in to the dry ingredients of the biscuit. Grind everything into coarse crumbs, and then pour in the liquid ingredients. Knead the dough.

Step 5

Roll the resulting dough to a thickness of about 25 mm and use a round (or any other) shape to cut out the blanks. Place them on a prepared baking sheet.

Step 6

Beat the egg with a tablespoon of milk and grease the future biscuits. Place in oven for about 20 minutes. Serve the flavored biscuits hot.
