Sweet and sour pork is a traditional Chinese dish. Those who find it very expensive to go to a Chinese restaurant can cook it on their own, especially since it turns out to be no less tasty.

- To cook pork:
- pork - 700 grams;
- carrots - 2-3 pieces;
- Bulgarian pepper - 2 pieces;
- onions - 2 pieces;
- canned pineapples - 400 grams.
- To make batter:
- starch - 2 tablespoons;
- flour - 2 tablespoons;
- Soy sauce - 200 grams.
- To make the sauce:
- ketchup - 6 tablespoons;
- vinegar - 4 tablespoons;
- granulated sugar - 5 tablespoons.

Rinse the meat thoroughly, let it dry a little and cut into thin long pieces.

Place in any convenient cup and top with soy sauce. Add flour and starch, mix well. Leave the meat to marinate for about 15 minutes and start cooking the vegetables.

Cut the onion into half rings. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Transfer to a separate cup.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown and transfer to the onion.

Then sauté the bell peppers and pineapples, cut into cubes. Add to onions and carrots.

In a hot skillet, fry the meat in batter, turning over and taking care not to burn. While the meat is cooking, mix the ketchup with vinegar and sugar.

When the meat is fried, add vegetables to it, stir and fry for another 3-4 minutes, then add the sauce and stir. Simmer until tender, about 7-10 minutes.
