Hungarian langos is a tortilla that is fried in a fairly large amount of oil, that is, just like donuts. Such a dish can be served not only as an addition to soups and side dishes, but also as an independent one.

It is necessary

  • - flour - 500 g;
  • - milk - 400 ml;
  • - dry yeast - 20 g;
  • - sugar - 1 teaspoon;
  • - salt - 0.5 teaspoon.

Instructions

Step 1

Place the dry yeast in a medium cup. Pour them with 100 ml of milk, preheated until warm. Then pour granulated sugar there. Stir the resulting mixture until the first ingredient is completely dissolved. The appearance of bubbles on the surface of the dough indicates its readiness.

Step 2

Introduce the rest of the milk into the finished dough. Then pour wheat flour there, but not all at once, but in several steps. Mix everything until smooth. Knead the resulting dough well, then cover, for example, with a towel. Put it in a warm enough place for a while.

Step 3

After sprinkling flour on the table surface, place the dough that has come up on it. Use a rolling pin to turn it into a tortilla large enough to be slightly smaller than the pan in which it will cook.

Step 4

Taking a fairly deep frying pan, pour sunflower oil into it so that its layer is at least 2-3 centimeters.

Step 5

Put the resulting cake in a frying pan with hot oil. Fry the langos on each side until golden brown.

Step 6

To remove excess fat, blot the finished cake with paper towels. Hungarian langos is ready! To add extra flavor to this dish, for example, rub it with garlic or pour over sour cream.
