Hungarian cuisine is unthinkable without sweet-spicy paprika. In addition, Hungary is very fond of a variety of meat with a hearty side dish. Try to cook a dish that lovers of high-calorie dishes will surely appreciate - pork with peppers, mushrooms and rice.

It is necessary

    • 700 g pork;
    • 1 onion;
    • 80 g ghee;
    • 200 g of porcini mushrooms;
    • 1 glass of dry white wine;
    • red pepper on the tip of a knife;
    • salt;
    • freshly ground black pepper;
    • 1 tablespoon flour;
    • 2 tomatoes;
    • 2 red bell peppers;
    • 1, 5 cups rice.

Instructions

Step 1

A piece of good pork (for example, fillet or ham), remove films and excess fat, rinse and dry with a paper towel. Cut the meat into small pieces across the grain, beat it lightly with a wooden mallet, rub with salt, pepper, roll in flour and quickly fry in a deep thick-walled skillet with preheated ghee.

Step 2

Remove the meat from the pan, place in a bowl and place in a warm place. Chop the onions finely and, stirring with a wooden spatula, fry them in the remaining fat until golden brown. Scald the tomatoes, remove the skin and seeds and cut into slices. Remove the pan from heat, add the red pepper on the tip of a knife, chopped tomatoes, salt and freshly ground black pepper to the onion. Pour the mixture with a glass of dry white wine, stir and return the pan to the stove. Simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the volume is reduced.

Step 3

Sort and rinse the rice thoroughly. Put it in a frying pan with warmed vegetable oil and fry for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour hot water over the rice, add salt, paprika and cook until tender. Peel sweet red peppers and bake in the oven or microwave until soft. Cut the baked peppers into squares or strips and place them in the hot rice. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 4

Fry the finely chopped porcini mushrooms in a separate skillet with heated ghee. Put the pieces of pork in a container with wine sauce, simmer for about 10 minutes and add the fried mushrooms. Sweat it all together for another 5 minutes.

Step 5

Serve the cooked meal on pre-warmed single serving plates. Put two pieces of meat on each, add the sauce, place a pile of rice with pepper next to it. Accompany the dish with a green salad and a glass of well-chilled white wine - preferably Hungarian.
