A very simple recipe

  1. Pour just over half a glass of milk into a small container and heat it up. Remove the dishes from the heat and add three teaspoons of dry yeast and a teaspoon of granulated sugar to the milk.
  2. Pour 400 grams of flour and a third of one glass of sugar into a bowl. Add 2 yolks there, and then pour in the cooked milk. Now replace the dough with your hands.
  3. Put in the dough 100 g of butter, previously cut into pieces. Cover the container with plastic and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  4. Prepare the filling at this time. Pour half a cup of milk into a saucepan, put two cups of poppy seeds, half a cup of sugar and a lump of butter in it. When the mixture boils, reduce heat, cover the pan with a lid and cook until thickened.
  5. After the allotted time, remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out so that you get a moderately thin layer. Put the cooled filling on it, roll the dough into a neat roll and place it on a baking sheet, after laying parchment paper on it. Anoint the resulting roll with egg yolk and leave for half an hour.
  6. Bake the roll at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. You will end up with mouth-watering baked goods with a golden brown crust.

  1. Put 250 g of poppy seeds in a small saucepan, cover with boiling water and leave for half an hour.
  2. After this time, drain the water and put the saucepan on the fire so that the remaining liquid evaporates.
  3. Now put 3 tablespoons of honey and the same amount of granulated sugar in a container with poppy seeds and pour in a glass of milk. Continue heating the liquid for half an hour. Then put 50 grams of butter in a bowl and keep on low heat for another 10 minutes.
  4. Roll out the finished puff pastry, spread the filling evenly on it and gently roll into a roll. Brush it with beaten egg yolk.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the roll for 30 minutes. Before removing the baked goods from the oven, pierce them with a toothpick. If the roll is not yet ready, particles of the unbaked dough will stick to the toothpick.
