It is necessary

  • - 500 g flour;
  • - 1 bag of dry yeast;
  • - 175 g of sugar;
  • - 1 egg;
  • - 425 ml of milk;
  • - 100 g of butter;
  • - A pinch of salt;
  • - 1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest;
  • - 1 bag of vanilla sugar;
  • - 150 g of ground poppy;
  • - 75 g dried cranberries.

Instructions

Step 1

From flour, yeast, 100 g of sugar, 200 ml of milk, eggs, 80 g of softened butter, salt and lemon zest, knead the dough. Let it come up in a warm place (1 hour). Meanwhile, prepare the poppy seed filling. Boil the remaining milk with sugar and vanilla sugar, pour over the poppy seeds and leave under the lid for 30 minutes. Stir in cranberries and 25 g butter.

Step 2

Roll out the dough into a 20 x 30 cm rectangular layer, spread with the poppy filling and roll up. Place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, seam side down, sprinkle with flour, cover with a napkin and let rise (1 hour).

Step 3

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the roll for 1 hour.
