The festive feast is accompanied by an abundance of snacks and hot dishes. But you can finish your meal with a light meal. Berry platter with custard and fruit dessert are perfect for this purpose.
Fruit platter with custard
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of quince;
- 300 grams of apples;
- 300 grams of pears;
- 1 glass of granulated sugar.
You can use one or two instead of three components, but the total weight should be 900 grams.
It should be borne in mind that quince needs to be boiled longer than apples or pears.
Fruit for a festive dessert must be completely peeled, cored and seeds removed, cut into thin slices. Pour granulated sugar into a saucepan and add half a liter of warm water. Stir sugar until completely dissolved. Then pour the sliced fruit into the cooking container.
Put the container on fire. Boil the fruit for a while, so that the slices soften slightly. Remove from heat and cool well. When the fruit is completely cool, beat until puree. Now you can start preparing the cream for the dessert.
In order to prepare a custard for a fruit dessert, you need to take the following products:
- 5 raw eggs;
- 1 glass of granulated sugar;
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour;
- 3 ½ cups of cold milk.
If desired, you can add vanilla sugar, lemon zest or cinnamon to the cream.
Grind raw eggs with granulated sugar in a small saucepan. Then add flour to them and mix everything. Pour in prepared cold milk. Mix well again. Put the container on a low heat to brew the cream. The mass must be constantly stirred until the final thickening. Cool the finished cream at room temperature.
Layer fruit puree and custard in bowls or wide glasses. Top can be decorated with a mint leaf, cherry or any sour berries.
If this dessert is intended for a children's event, you can additionally decorate it with pieces of cookies, meringues and a bright cocktail umbrella.
Dessert from grapes or cherries
For an adult holiday event, the dessert recipe can be a little complicated. To do this, in addition to the previous ingredients of the custard, you will additionally need:
- 50 grams of butter;
- 2-3 tablespoons of rum or liquor;
- 500 grams of grapes or cherries (seedless).
Prepare the custard using the previous recipe. Cool well. Add softened butter, two or three tablespoons of rum to it. Beat the cream with a whisk until smooth.
Put the berries in the cream and mix gently. Lay in layers, alternating with fruit puree. You can decorate the dessert with a circle of orange, mint leaves or a star of carambola.
