Meat soaked in milk can be stored for up to 7 days. Already after 4 hours the milk will curdle, creating a "fur coat", this will serve as a kind of vacuum packaging for the product.

Make a jerky - hold the slices over the fire until they form a dry crust. Pull the pieces together with twine and hang in a draft.

The old hunting trick will allow the bird to be kept out of the refrigerator for up to 7 days - soak a clean towel with vinegar and wrap the bird in it. As the towel dries, soak it again in the vinegar.
