It is necessary

    • Nori:
    • bamboo mat;
    • rice;
    • filling (smoked eel
    • salmon
    • cucumber
    • avocado
    • cream cheese, etc.);
    • soy sauce;
    • wasabi;
    • pickled ginger.

Instructions

Step 1

So, the first step is to cook rice (you can buy special rice for making sushi or use ordinary Krasnodar rice). Go through a glass of rice and remove any debris and pebbles from it, if any. Rinse thoroughly under running water several times, until it becomes completely transparent.

Step 2

Place the washed rice in a ladle or small saucepan and cover with cold water (about a glass of rice to two glasses of water). After the water has boiled, add to a teaspoon of granulated sugar and a teaspoon of vinegar, stir. Reduce heat, cover and cook until tender (do not stir any more).

Step 3

While the rice is cooling, prepare the filling. This can be lightly salted salmon or trout, tuna or smoked eel, crabs or shrimps. You can combine several ingredients at once by adding fresh cucumber or avocado to the fish. Cream cheese will only complement the bright taste of this extraordinary dish. Cut the ingredients into strips using a sharp knife.

Step 4

Cut the seaweed sheets in half. Spread a bamboo mat on a flat table surface and place a Nori sheet on the edge with the smooth side down. Take a small amount of boiled sticky rice and spread it on the surface of the leaf in a thin layer, for convenience, you can moisten your hands in water or Japanese vinegar.

Step 5

Then put the filling you like most on top of the rice and carefully begin to roll the entire structure into a roll. It may not work out the first time, but after a while, after prolonged training, your skill will show its excellent results. It remains only to moisten a sharp knife in water and cut the roll into six to eight equal parts. Place on a flat plate and serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi.
