Falafel is a traditional Arabic dish. It is very popular at home. Try it yourself to cook this interesting culinary creation.
It is necessary
- - chickpeas - 300 g;
- - wheat flour - 2 tablespoons;
- - garlic - 5 cloves;
- - onion - 1 pc.;
- - dry spices - to taste;
- - salt - to taste;
- - vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the chickpeas in a suitable deep bowl and cover them with water. One glass of peas requires 3-4 glasses of water. Leave it soaked for about 5-6 hours.
Step 2
After the time has passed, drain the water from the chickpeas, if any, and rinse thoroughly. Then, pouring it with clean water, put it on fire. After a quarter of an hour, change the chickpea water and cook it for 1, 5-2 hours.
Step 3
After peeling the garlic and onion, place them along with the cooled peas in a blender bowl. Add wheat flour there, as well as one tablespoon of sunflower oil, any spices and salt. The amount of the last two components depends only on your taste. Grind the resulting mixture until its consistency becomes homogeneous. If you don't have a blender, you can mash the chickpeas with a potato grinder, then mix them with all the other ingredients.
Step 4
Take a saucepan and pour a large amount of sunflower oil into it. After heating it, fry medium-sized balls formed from peas on it until a golden brown crust forms.
Step 5
After removing the fried balls from the butter, blot them with a paper towel to get rid of excess fat. Falafels are ready!
