Everyone knows about the benefits of fermented milk products, in particular yogurt. But the wrongly chosen yogurt will not benefit and even harm human health.
What are the benefits of yogurt?
Due to its composition, this product can positively affect the work of the digestive tract, increase immunity, and make bones stronger. And that's not all of its wonderful properties. Yogurt is a source of calcium for the human body, and it is also easy to digest.
How to choose healthy yogurt?
Take the yoghurt package in your hands and pay attention to:
If the yogurt is natural, then the shelf life is short (no more than two weeks if stored in the refrigerator). If the packaging promises freshness of the product within a month, two, three, or even a whole year, it is a dead product, oversaturated with preservatives (at best, it is subjected to heat treatment, after which yogurt is practically useless for humans).
The best option is yogurt made on the day of purchase. This kind of food cannot be stored for a long time, but it must be taken into account that in most cities it is necessary to devote time to delivering to the store and arranging the food on the shelves. If the shelf life is coming to an end, it is better to choose a different dairy product.
Read the label carefully. High-quality yoghurt should contain only natural milk, sourdough, berries or fruits with sugar (if the yoghurt is sweet and with additives). There should not be any "flavorings identical to natural", dyes and, of course, preservatives in a good yogurt. Also, there should not be any vegetable fats of various kinds.
Also pay attention to the correct product name on the box. If you come across words like "yogurt", "frugurt" or the like, it is most likely not natural yogurt.
If the yoghurt is not displayed in the refrigerated display case, it is better not to take such yoghurt, especially if it is without preservatives.
