Azu with potatoes is a very satisfying and delicious dish. It is prepared quite simply and does not require any special culinary skills.

Ingredients:

  • 600-650 g of meat (pork or beef);
  • 3 small pickles;
  • 3 medium onions;
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste (can be substituted with tomato sauce)
  • 8 potato tubers;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 lavrushkas;
  • 3 tablespoons of sunflower oil;
  • salt and ground black pepper - pinch at a time.

Preparation:

  1. First, rinse the meat thoroughly, you will need a pitted fillet. Then it needs to be cut into small enough pieces. A frying pan is placed on a hot stove and vegetable oil is poured into it. After it heats up, pour the meat into the pan. With regular stirring, it is fried until a golden crispy crust forms (be careful not to burn).
  2. The onion must be peeled, rinsed and cut into not very thick rings or half rings with a sharp knife. Put a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil on fire. After it is red-hot, you need to fold the bow into it. It is fried over medium heat with systematic stirring.
  3. Then put tomato paste in the pan and mix everything very well. After the onion is ready, remove the pan from the stove.
  4. Peel the potato tubers. Then they are thoroughly washed and cut into not very large pieces. Chopped potatoes are sent to the pan for meat. The resulting mass is well mixed.
  5. The cucumbers must be peeled and cut into small cubes. Draining excess juice, chopped cucumbers are sent to a hot frying pan with oil. They need to be fried for a very short time, only 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garlic cloves, after they are peeled, must be chopped. This can be done with a garlic press or simply cut very finely with a knife.
  7. Meat and potatoes are mixed with fried onions and cucumbers. And chopped garlic, all the necessary spices and salt are added to the pan. Further, meat broth or just pure water should be poured into it.
  8. The pan is tightly covered with a lid and put on fire. After boiling, the fire is reduced to a minimum and the dish is brought to full readiness. When serving, you can decorate the ready-made basics with finely chopped fresh herbs.
