Take a saucepan, pour cold water into it and put it on fire. Wash two or three potatoes, peel, rinse again and cut into medium-sized cubes. Transfer the sliced potatoes to the water.

While it is boiling, prepare the cabbage: cut it into not very small strips, add a little salt and crush it a little with your hands.

The cabbage should be added when the potatoes are almost cooked. At the same time, you can take a slotted spoon and fish out some potatoes, mash them with a fork and mix with olive oil. While the cabbage is cooking, peel and dice the onions, chop 1-2 carrots and one medium-sized beet on a coarse grater.
