It is necessary

  • - 0.5 kg of minced meat;
  • - 700 g of potatoes;
  • - 1 head of onion;
  • - 1 stalk of celery;
  • - 1 carrot;
  • - 150 ml of meat broth;
  • - 1 tablespoon of butter;
  • - 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil;
  • - 100 ml of milk;
  • - 1 tablespoon of Worcester sauce
  • - 1 teaspoon tomato paste;
  • - salt;
  • - ground black pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water. Chop the onion into small pieces. Chop the celery set finely. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Step 2

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and salve the onion until clear. Add carrots and celery to the onions and fry them all together for about 2-3 minutes. Then add minced meat to the vegetables and fry until crisp.

Step 3

Combine tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Dilute the mixture with meat broth. Add the mixture to the meat and vegetables and simmer for about 5 more minutes. Season with salt and spices.

Step 4

When the potatoes are cooked, drain the water and mash them into a homogeneous puree, adding butter and hot milk.

Step 5

Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Put the meat in a baking dish, flatten. Then lay in the mashed potatoes, flatten them and apply a wavy pattern with a fork. Place the mold in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. The Irish Shepherd's Pie is ready when the potato crust is golden brown.
