Translated from Latin, radish means "root". The vegetable is round or oblong. Radish salads are light and fresh. Cooking them is simple, but it turns out tasty and healthy.
This dish may not be suitable for people with stomach problems or those who dislike spicy foods. To prepare the salad, you will need the following products:
- fresh radish - 500-600 g;
- any greens to taste;
- garlic - a few cloves;
- soy sauce - a couple of tablespoons;
- oil (vegetable, olive, sesame) - a few tablespoons;
- sugar - 15 g;
- vinegar (regular or apple cider) - a tablespoon;
- salt - one and a half teaspoon;
- pepper mixture - 1 teaspoon.
To prepare the salad, rinse radishes and herbs well and drain off excess water. Cut the root vegetable into half rings and put in a bowl. In order for the juice to come out of it, sprinkle the vegetable with a small amount of salt and leave for 20 minutes.
During this time, you can prepare other ingredients. Grind the washed and dried greens. For salad, parsley, dill, arugula and any other greens are suitable. Peeled garlic also needs to be chopped. It is better to do this with a knife, and not with a grater.
After 20 minutes, the juice from the radish is carefully drained. Sprinkle the vegetable on top with sugar, salt and a mixture of ground pepper. All this is poured with vinegar and soy sauce.
In a separate container, you need to slightly warm up olive or vegetable oil, poured over the prepared salad. Garlic and chopped greens are poured on top - everything mixes well. Thanks to the hot oil, the heated spices emit an unsurpassed aroma. The salad can be insisted in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, and then served.
