Thin lavash lasagna is a simple interpretation of a popular Italian dish, which is traditionally prepared on special pasta sheets, alternating with minced vegetables or meat, parmesan and pouring over the sauce. In the homeland of pizza and pasta, they would be very surprised if they found out that in Russia they cook Italian lasagna with an Armenian accent. This is a simplified but equally delicious way of preparing a popular dish.

Ingredients:

- 3 sheets of thin pita bread;

- 150 g parmesan;

- 300 g mozzarella;

- 500 g minced meat;

- 500 g of tomatoes;

- a clove of garlic;

- pepper and salt to taste;

- butter for lubrication.

- olive oil for frying.

Step by step cooking

Pour olive oil into a skillet and heat. Place the beef and sauté until lightly golden brown. For this dish, you can take absolutely any minced meat: chicken, beef, pork, turkey. If you want to give a dish an unusual taste, make a meat mix. To do this, take several types of minced meat. For example, you can mix minced chicken with turkey, beef with pork.

In the process of frying the minced meat, crush it properly with a spoon or spatula so that the meat lumps are as small as possible. Don't forget to pepper and salt the minced meat to taste.

Grate the parmesan and mozzarella. For the first, it is better to choose a fine grater, and for mozzarella, on the contrary, a coarse one.

Finely chop a clove of garlic and fry in olive oil. For piquancy, you can add ground chili, but do not overdo it with it.

Add the tomatoes to the garlic skillet. They must first be passed through a meat grinder. For this dish, it is better to take pickled tomatoes in their own juice. Season the tomato mass with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until thickened. This usually takes 15 minutes.

Cut four rectangles out of pita bread to fit the bottom of the baking dish. It is convenient to cut sheets of pita bread not with a knife, but with scissors.

Lubricate the baking dish with butter, put one layer of pita bread on top, generously coat it with tomato sauce, spread half of the minced meat on top. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Don't skimp on the sauce or the lasagna will dry out.

Lay out the second layer, also brush it with tomato sauce, and sprinkle with grated mozzarella on top. Then, according to a similar principle, lay out another layer, but now with minced meat. Put pita bread on top, then tomato sauce, sprinkle the structure with the remaining cheese and put in a preheated oven for half an hour.

If you cover the dishes with foil, the lasagna will cook better. After 20 minutes after the start of cooking, it must be removed, otherwise the cheese crust will not brown.
