It is necessary

  • - 400 g squid;
  • - 200 g of prunes;
  • - 100 g of unsalted cheese (mozzarella or regular country milk);
  • - 150 g mayonnaise;
  • - 1 PC. sweet pepper (optional);
  • - salt,
  • - ground black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Keep track of the amount of ingredients. The overly honeyed taste of prunes easily overshadows other flavors and can make the dish too viscous and sugary sweet. Prunes are put in salad solely to add piquancy and depth. With seafood, dried fruit will sparkle with new colors. Salad with prunes and squid is a non-classic version of the already beloved chicken with prunes and mayonnaise. If suddenly there is no bird at hand, it can easily be replaced by squid seasoned with light unsalted cheese.

Step 2

Cut the prunes, soaked and pitted, into strips. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater or cut into strips. Boil the squid in salted water for 7 minutes, rinse, peel and cut into half rings. Rinse the bell peppers, remove the seeds and chop.

Step 3

Combine all ingredients and add salt, pepper and mayonnaise. Garnish with sprigs of fresh parsley, dill, green onion rings, and a slice of boiled egg, if desired. Let stand for 10 minutes.
