This sweet cold dessert contains no chemistry whatsoever. It can be pampered by both adults and children. Melon for sherbet needs ripe, sweet. The amount of sugar will depend on the sweetness of the melon.
It is necessary
- - 700 g of melon;
- - 4 kiwi;
- - 1/2 cup sugar;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lime juice;
- - a pinch of salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add about half a cup of sugar (if the melon is very sweet, then this amount can be reduced). Place the pot over medium heat and cook for about 2 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved in the water.
Step 2
Take a cantaloupe, peel it, remove all seeds. Cut the flesh into small pieces. Peel the kiwi too, cut into pieces. Place the melon and kiwi slices in a blender or food processor and add a pinch of salt. Whisk, then add the lime juice sugar syrup. Whisk everything again until smooth.
Step 3
Pour the resulting melon mass into a container, put in the freezer for 2 hours. Take out the container with the treat from time to time and stir with a spoon to prevent large ice crystals from forming.
Step 4
Put the finished melon sherbet in glass glasses with a wide mouth, serve with a dessert spoon. In the process of making sorbet, you can experiment - add not kiwi to the melon, but some other fruit or berries.
