Step 1
Mussels are reminiscent of the wonderful sea, beaches, free and calm vacation life. After all, it is on the seashore that we most often taste our first real "wild" mussels that have not yet been spoiled by anyone's cooking. Freshly harvested and baked over a fire, they are in no way inferior to those offered in restaurants and bars. The beauty of these bivalve molluscs is that they are cooked exclusively live. Therefore, in countries that do not have a nearby sea coast, mussels can be bought mainly in boiled-frozen form. That is, they boiled it first, then quickly froze it.

In the Black Sea, in addition to mussels living on rocks and stones near the coast, vast shoals are occupied by shell mussels. These mussels live either on sand, attaching themselves with filaments to many grains of sand and other objects, or on muddy grounds, attaching themselves to the empty valves of dead mollusks and to each other. In relatively deep places, these mussels have a thin and light shell, which allows them not to sink into silt and remain on the surface of the ground. In Crimea, the width of the mussel shoals is much narrower. On these shoals, mussels form huge settlements. In some places they lie like a solid carpet. Such accumulations allow large-scale hunting of this mollusk and make it an important commercial species.

Like many other seafood eaten, mussels are able to strengthen the human immune system. The special value of mussels is that they consist of almost one protein and are low in calories, therefore they are considered a dietary product, for which women love them. Mussels are very useful for people involved in sports and for increasing "masculine strength". They contain a large amount of vitamin E, as well as iron, zinc, phosphorus, iodine and calcium. Due to their high vitamin E content, mussels are considered antioxidants to help prevent cancer. Mussels are effective in maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails. With regular use of mussels, the body rejuvenates, the blood is renewed faster, the metabolism improves, the general condition of the body improves markedly. It is especially recommended to eat mussels for people doing harmful work and living in contaminated areas. Mussels have the properties of removing harmful radicals from the human body.
