Mussels have long ceased to be a delicacy. They are sold not only in hypermarkets, but often in regular stores at an affordable price. There are many recipes with mussels, most often they are baked in the oven with various fillings.
It is necessary
- - 500 g of New Zealand mussels (about 12 pieces);
- - medium onion;
- - 4 strips of bacon;
- - 30 g each of yellow and green peppers;
- - 180 g butter;
- - 15 ml of lime or lemon juice;
- - Tabasco sauce to taste;
- - 10 ml oyster sauce;
- - 60 g bread crumbs;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
The mussels must be separated from the sinks and the sinks must be washed thoroughly.
Step 2
Cut the bacon into pieces and fry in a pan until golden brown. Dice the onion and pepper. Remove excess fat from the frying pan with bacon and lay out the vegetables, fry over low heat until the onions and peppers are soft.
Step 3
Grind the onion, pepper and bacon in a blender, put it in the refrigerator to cool down a little.
Step 4
In a bowl, mix 120 g of butter with lime juice, Tabasco sauce and oyster sauce. Add the cooled mixture of vegetables and bacon to the mixture, salt and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
Melt the remaining butter (60 g) in a frying pan, add the breadcrumbs, mix quickly and remove from heat.
Step 6
Return the mussels to the cleaned shells, put the filling and breadcrumbs on top. We bake at a temperature of 200C for 10-12 minutes.
Step 7
Serve the finished dish best with lime juice.
