Do you like spicy things? Then you will love this Spanish potato recipe. Such potatoes can serve both as an independent dish and become an excellent side dish for meat dishes.
It is necessary
- To cook potatoes in Spanish you will need:
- - potatoes - 1 kg;
- - cottage cheese - 200 - 300 g;
- - lemon -1/2, or wine vinegar;
- - onions - 2 pcs.;
- - ground red pepper, paprika, cumin, chili, caraway seeds - to taste;
- - vegetable oil.
- For mayonnaise:
- - egg - 2 pcs. (yolks);
- - olive or vegetable oil - 1 glass (as much as possible - the mayonnaise will be thicker);
- - salt, sugar - 1 teaspoon each;
- - mustard -0.5 tsp;
- - freshly ground pepper;
- - wine vinegar - 1 tbsp. the spoon.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the potatoes in their skins, or fry them in a skillet until golden brown.
Step 2
Pour the finely chopped onions with lemon juice (or wine vinegar) and leave to marinate (for 1-2 hours).
Step 3
Prepare mayonnaise from egg yolks and vegetable oil in a blender. To do this, beat at first speed: 2 yolks, mustard, salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar, a teaspoon of oil. Once every 30 seconds, add a teaspoon of vegetable oil until the mixture becomes thick. This process takes a maximum of 15 minutes.
Step 4
For the sauce, you need to mix cottage cheese or cheese with spices, pickled onions, mayonnaise.
Step 5
Peel the boiled potatoes, transfer them to a plate and pour over the resulting mixture. Decorate with herbs.
