For many, candied fruits are a highlight of Soviet childhood. During the shortage, a vase with multi-colored candied fruits was exhibited as a table decoration. Times change, but sometimes you want to enjoy a healthy dessert.

Step 1
Rinse the fruits thoroughly in warm running water, dry. Cut off the edges of each orange, then make a cut anywhere in the rind. Gently insert a sharp knife under the crust and cut it from all of the fruit. Try not to hurt the flesh. The fleshy part of oranges is not useful for making candied fruits; use it for making juice or other dishes.

Place all the peeled skin in a saucepan. Pour enough water into it so that the product is completely covered. Set the container on fire, bring to a boil, then reduce the heating of the composition, cook for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Next, you need to drain the boiling water from the pan with crusts, pour cold water again and put on fire, i.e. repeat the procedure. Pour the completely boiled peel with cold boiled water. Cool the product in it for 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
Then follow the procedure for cleansing the skin of the oranges. Use a spoon to scrape off the inner white part. Do this carefully so as not to tear the plates. Cut the crusts into strips or squares.
Step 5
Next, prepare the syrup. Pour water into a saucepan, mix with granulated sugar. Heat over low heat, stirring sugar occasionally.
Step 6
Dip prepared orange convenience foods in syrup. Cook the food for 40-50 minutes over low heat. Achieve product transparency. Cool the finished slices in hot syrup for three hours, you can leave overnight.
Step 7
Catch cold candied fruits from the syrup with a slotted spoon, they should be squeezed out. Or use a sieve, leave the candied fruit in it, let the excess syrup drain. Now lightly coat the slices in sugar and serve with tea.
