Kulesh is a classic dish of the Zaporozhye Cossacks that accompanied them during their travels. This dish always includes bacon and millet, so it is very satisfying, and also very tasty.

- - 120 g millet
- - 600 g potatoes

Instructions
Step 1
Go through the cereals, remove from it all the specks and dark grains that are usually found in the package. Rinse the porridge thoroughly in cold water, dry it a little, and then place it in a saucepan. Fill the millet with water, about 3, 5-4, 5 times the amount of cereals. Bring everything to a boil, season with salt and cook until tender. You can check the readiness by tasting the porridge, it should become completely soft.
Step 2
Peel the onions and potatoes, rinse thoroughly in water and pat dry on a paper towel. Take a chopping board and cut the vegetables into small cubes with a sharp knife. Add the potatoes to the millet and boil a little more until the potatoes are ready. It should cook quickly as it is finely chopped.
Step 3
If the lard is too salty, wash it in water, then dry it on a paper towel and cut into small cubes, like vegetables.
Step 4
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it, put bacon and onion, fry and add to soup. Pour the kulesh into plates and serve, bon appetit!
