General information about fermented milk products

At present, it is difficult to imagine a person who would not eat fermented milk products or at least have not heard about their benefits for the body. Both kefir and biokefir are made from cow's milk of various fat contents. These products are obtained using the method of lactic fermentation, and in some cases - alcohol.

In order for the fermented milk product to become a full-fledged kefir, special kefir fungi are added to it. They are a symbiosis of yeast fungi, lactic acid streptococci, bacilli and acetic acid bacteria. In biokefir, in addition to all the listed components, specific fermenting substances are also added, such as acidophilus sticks, bifidobacteria and certain streptococci.

All fermented milk products contain protein - lactose, which is absorbed much better and faster than milk protein. In addition, thanks to this component of kefir (biokefir), the occurrence of bloating or intestinal upset after drinking the drink is excluded. It is no coincidence that even young children are gradually being taught to dairy products. And before you start feeding them with whole cow's milk, they offer various fermented milk drinks.

Differences between kefir and biokefir

The main and only difference between these two types of fermented milk drinks is the absence or presence of bifidobacteria in the composition. Bifidobacteria are not susceptible to splitting under the influence of gastrointestinal juice, which means they have the opportunity to enter the intestines. In the intestine, these bacteria act on pathogenic organisms, destroying them. Thanks to this, the microflora of the body is restored.

The positive effect of bifidobacteria

Bifidobacteria, fighting pathogenic microorganisms, not only improve the microflora. They have a beneficial effect on the immunity of the whole organism, help in the fight against dysbiosis, improve the functioning of the stomach and intestines, and have a positive effect on all metabolic processes.

However, in order to really experience the beneficial effects of eating biokefir, be sure to pay attention to the shelf life of the product. Bifidobacteria live no more than 10 days.

The greatest amount of benefit to the body will be if you take kefir a couple of hours before going to bed.
