What a person eats and drinks affects his body. Some drinks that you regularly encounter in your daily life can lower your blood pressure. When quenching your thirst, pay attention to what you are consuming.
Juices
Low-sugar juices have been shown to be effective in reducing high blood pressure. Most fruit acids are antispasmodics that promote vasodilation, so if your blood pressure rises, you can drink a glass of cherry, blueberry, cranberry or currant juice. Some vegetable drinks work in a similar way. Beetroot and tomato juice will be useful for lowering the pressure. When choosing a drink in the store, you should pay attention to the amount of sugar indicated on the package. Sweet juices have the opposite effect, increasing rather than lowering blood pressure.
Teas
Some berry and herbal teas can also lower blood pressure. Add viburnum, chokeberry, lingonberry, rose hips, strawberries, and a slice of lemon to the hot drink. You can also add a few cloves of ginger to the tea, or, if the taste of this root is pleasant to you, brew a drink from it by grating the thick rhizome and boiling the gruel for fifteen minutes, and then adding honey and lemon.
Compotes
Not only juices and teas, but also compotes will benefit the health of hypertensive patients. For their preparation, it is recommended to use sour fruits and berries: unsweetened varieties of apples, grapes, blueberries, currants, chokeberries, cranberries. A freshly brewed drink will expand blood vessels.
Milk and fermented milk drinks
Skim milk and fermented milk drinks are another way to reduce blood pressure at home. Try to choose foods that are low in fat, as hypertension is directly related to being overweight. A glass of kefir with a pinch of cinnamon will be quite effective and pleasant to the taste for dilating blood vessels.
Alcohol
Alcohol has a twofold effect on the body. In small doses, it can be a medicine, but you need to be able to stop in time, since an excess of alcohol will harm hypertensive patients. Taking a small dose of alcohol helps the vessels become more elastic and dilate. The main thing is to be able to complete the "treatment" on this, since with further use, the pressure can return to its previous level and even rise. Cognac, as well as red and white wine, are the most effective in combating high blood pressure. The therapeutic dose for cognac is fifty grams. It is advisable to dilute the wine with mineral water in a ratio of one to two and consume no more than one glass.
