They say that a book about tasty and healthy food should consist of two independent parts: "About tasty food" and "About healthy food". But when you consider the presence of foods such as green beans, then this is easy to argue with. This valuable product contains a huge amount of B vitamins and folic acid, while having excellent taste. And it's pretty simple to cook it.
It is necessary
-
- Green beans in Greek
- green beans 0.5 kg
- tomatoes 400 g
- onion head 1 piece
- garlic 2-3 cloves
- oregano
- basil
- salt to taste
- vegetable oil
- To freeze, you need:
- green beans
- hot and cold water
Instructions
Step 1
Take young green beans, rinse thoroughly under running water, cut into small pieces.
Step 2
Scald the tomatoes with boiling water and remove the skin, finely chop. Fresh tomatoes in this recipe can be successfully replaced with canned ones.
Step 3
Pass the garlic through the garlic press and mix with the tomatoes. Pour the whole mixture into the chopped green beans.
Step 4
Take a saucepan or deep frying pan with a lid, drizzle oil and put on fire. Chop the onion finely, add to the heated oil and fry with low heat until golden brown.
Step 5
Add the green beans and tomato mixture to the fried onions. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer until cooked through for 20-30 minutes.
Step 6
Unfortunately, the growing season of green beans is not long. But there is a good way out of this situation - it can be frozen. Moreover, it will not lose its useful properties.
Rinse the green beans under cold running water. Remove the edges of the beans, cut them into 3-5 cm long pieces.
Step 7
Scald the chopped beans with boiling water (this is necessary so that during the freezing process it does not acquire a bitter taste).
Step 8
Spread the scalded pods on a wire rack to allow the water to drain completely.
Step 9
Remove the pieces of beans from which the water has dripped from the wire rack, put them in a bag and put them in the freezer.
